POWER - GENERATORS

Backup power systems or generators serving critical
loads - circuits or even the entire house are becoming more in
demand due to the storm cycles and utility power outages.
When choosing and sizing a backup system there are
many things to consider.

amount of power required for the circuits - appliances and

WHY WE NEED
HUMIDIFIERS?

Humidity is defined as the amount of water vapor in air.
Absolute humidity is the measurement of the actual water vapor in a
given volume of air, usually expressed in grains of water per cubic
foot or pound of air. Relative humidity (RH) is the amount of
water vapor in a given volume of air compared to the amount of water
vapor the same volume of air will hold at saturation (100% RH) at a
given temperature.
As a volume of air is heated in your home, the RH
decreases as the volume of air increases. The total moisture in the
air remains the same. So as the air is heated and air volume
increases, your humidity in the room or home goes down.
Why do we need proper humidification?
- Static
Electricity
- Poor
moisture stability - cracking of wood trim, books etc.
- Health
and comfort - dry mouth while sleeping, dry skin
- Utility
bills - It takes more heat to feel comfortable with less
humidity in the air.

There are basically four types of residential
humidifiers the first being a static wheel type where a wheel
with media comes in contact with a water reservoir and transfers
moisture into the air. There is the panel type where water drips down
a panel which comes in contact with the air. A steam humidifier which
heats water and sends a mist into the air stream and lastly a
separate stand alone unit.
Having proper humidity levels in your home makes good
sense for many reasons. Be sure to call us, and a SolvIt

winter, or evaluate your homes need for a new or
upgraded humidity system at no cost or obligation. He or She
will offer you options on how you can increase your comfort and decrease
your energy bills.

As our customer, you most often have contact
with our technicians; after all, they are the individuals you
really need when you make the call 24/7/365 for service.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the team of
people which goes into providing you the true value in the
service you receive and into running a successful service
organization.
From the time of your call through completion of your service
call, it takes the following team:
1. Reception or Customer Service Representative to answer
your call and either add or retrieve your account
information in our computer system. He or she reviews your
account, updates your records (like your family doctor) and takes your
request.
2. Once your request is entered our scheduling team kicks into gear
to match the proper technician to your need i.e. plumber or
electrician etc., review the schedule and match your location to
the next available technician.
3. From this information the Dispatchers forward a ticket or
request for service electronically to the technician with all the
pertinent information.
4. If the technician is running late from a previous call due to
traffic or other unforeseen issues, the Schedulers attempt to
contact you to inform of the technician's estimated arrival
time.
5. Once the technician arrives at your
home, they diagnosis the problem or performs the work after
providing you with a firm price up front to complete the work. Many
times the parts are available on the truck but if not, the
technician gets on the phone with one of the Parts
Managers and sources the materials for immediate
delivery, pick up or is placed on order for a return visit at
no additional charge.
6. The technician completes the call, cleans up
after themselves and calls into the dispatch team to
complete the call in our system. Your service history is updated
and they receive their next assignment.
7. Sometimes customers take advantage of our many financing or
"Flex Pay" options. We have full time people specifically
to help facilitate this within our accounting department.
8. Many customers deal directly with our Service
Agreement Administrator regarding the purchase of
annual maintenance programs for all their home comfort systems.
9. Our Service Managers are always available
for our customers, technicians and call center staff to help with
any need which may arise during the day, after hours on an
emergency basis.
10. Once the technician's information is returned to our
office, it is reviewed and entered into our filing system
all overseen by an Office Manager, staff and our
CFO.
11. All this is coordinated thru electronic means managed by our IT
director.
This process happens some 20,000 times annually, so I would like to
